The decor uses locally sourced wood and stone, with custom-made pieces such as the ski storage racks.

Location & Transport

The Alpenlodge sits on a sunny slope at the edge of Zermatt, a 5-minute walk from the Sunneggabahn cable car and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Free taxi transfers from the train station are provided for stays of two nights or longer, with additional taxi rides available at 15-20 CHF per trip. The hotel is also a short walk from the Gornergrat cog railway and ski lifts.
